Julie Cole, M.A., CCC-SLP

  • Julie is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with 27 years of experience.

She received her Master of Arts degree in Speech Pathology from Western Michigan University and completed her clinical fellowship at University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association. During her career, Julie has worked in acute care and private practice developing an expertise in swallowing disorders (dysphagia), Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), evaluation and treatment of patients with head and neck cancer, voice disorders, tracheostomy and evaluation and treatment of language and cognitive deficits associated with stroke, head injury and neurodegenerative diseases.

Julie was born and raised in Michigan but moved to Las Vegas after receiving her degree. She recently returned to Michigan to join West Shore ENT & Allergy and to be closer to her family.

  • Kailey Riker, M.A., CCC-SLP

Kailey Riker is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and is certified by the American Speech, Language, Hearing Association. Kailey diagnoses and treats a wide variety of speech, language and swallowing disorders in adults and pediatrics. She completes in-office videostroboscopic exams of the larynx to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning of laryngeal disorders in collaboration with the physicians at West Shore ENT.

Kailey is experienced in evaluation and treatment of adult speech, swallowing and language disorders in including oral and pharyngeal dysphagia, voice disorders, cognitive and high level language disorders secondary to neurological impairment, aphasia, and motor speech disorders of apraxia and dysarthria.

Kailey also treats pediatric speech and language disorders for children from 18 months to 18 years. She is experienced in language delay and language disorders, learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, pediatric motor speech disorders including childhood apraxia of speech, stuttering/fluency disorders, and articulation disorders.

Kailey earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Michigan State University in 2009 where she graduated from the Honors College with Highest Honors. She earned her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Central Michigan University in 2011 where she was awarded graduate assistantship for two years. She is Beckman Oral Motor certified Level 1.
